Selmer, TN – April 10, 2026 – Stream is partnering with the City of Selmer to support a community shrimp boil recognizing residents, local officials, and first responders who have played a critical role in helping the community navigate recent weather-related challenges.

In the face of a series of severe weather events that have impacted homes, businesses, and daily life, Selmer has demonstrated a level of resilience defined by its people. Neighbors, local leaders, and first responders have consistently stepped forward to support one another, reinforcing the strength and character of the community. Organized by the Mayor’s office in collaboration with local police and fire departments, the event brings the community together to recognize those contributions and create space to connect beyond the challenges they have faced.
Mayor John Smith of Selmer, shared:
“Selmer is a community that takes care of its own. We have been through a great deal, but what makes me proud is how our people continue to show up for one another. This event is about recognizing that spirit, bringing people together, and taking a moment to appreciate the strength of this community.”

“Having grown up in a small town myself, I know how strong those connections can be and how much people show up for each other when it matters most. We’ve had the opportunity to work alongside many people here and see that firsthand.”

Stream’s connection to Selmer stems from its work supporting the planning and development of a new manufacturing facility for ABB following significant flood-related impacts to an existing operation in the area. Through that work, the team has spent time alongside local residents, business leaders, and community partners, gaining a deeper appreciation for the role people play in sustaining and strengthening the region. As those relationships have developed, so has the opportunity to support the community beyond the project itself.
“When you spend time in Selmer, you quickly realize this is a community defined by its people. Having grown up in a small town myself, I know how strong those connections can be and how much people show up for each other when it matters most. We’ve had the opportunity to work alongside many people here and see that firsthand. Supporting this event is a simple way for us to say thank you and recognize the resilience that makes this community so strong,” said Joe Iatauro, Executive Managing Director and Founding Partner for Stream’s Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, and Distribution Platform.

The event is expected to bring together over 400 hundred residents, along with local leaders and first responders, with members of the Stream team volunteering and serving alongside the community throughout the evening. Stream remains committed to supporting the communities where it works, building relationships that extend beyond projects and contribute to long term strength and stability at the local level.
