ABB consolidated multiple operations in the Metropolitan Atlanta market to better align its robotics business with its recently acquired B&R Industrial Automation division while enhancing its client engagement capabilities. The project allowed ABB to repurpose underutilized space and avoid disruption tied to an expiring lease, aligning real estate strategy with broader business integration goals.

Stream’s Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, and Distribution team supported the project through planning, design, construction coordination, and relocation. The 50,000 square foot tenant improvement integrates office, training, showroom, and warehouse functions, including a dedicated robotics demonstration environment. Although modest in size, the project carried significant complexity. Stream coordinated the conversion of shelled space into finished offices, integrated specialized equipment with unique power and slab requirements, and aligned fire protection and occupancy considerations with the final layout. Additional coordination addressed the separation and migration of independent server and network systems, as well as FF&E, AV, IT, and security integration without disrupting ongoing operations.

Delivered within an accelerated timeline of approximately four and a half months, the completed facility provides ABB with a more functional and integrated environment for collaboration, training, and customer engagement. The project enables long term flexibility as ABB continues to scale its automation platform.
