Our onsite representative bridged communication between Primal’s leaders and the general contractor, helping executives understand the impact of new equipment on key processes. By demonstrating the effects of increased electrical load, steam, and wastewater, we facilitated faster decision-making.
We coordinated the installation of freeze-drying equipment and modernized the production space, which minimized disruptions and upheld food safety standards. Our recommendation to create a linear production line and add more freeze-drying equipment and storage enabled scalable manufacturing. The result was an increase in throughput from 200,000 lbs to 1,000,000 lbs per month. The new equipment reduced freeze-drying time from 24 to 11 hours, supporting a wider variety of pet diets. Enhanced productivity saw 130 employees working across 4 shifts, ensuring 24/7 operations. Improvements also included extended shelf life for freeze-dried products and jerky to 18-24 months.
